From Newcastle:
(18 miles): Head north on A696 (Jedburgh road); past the airport, through Ponteland and Belsay to B6342 crossroads. Turn left to Hexham; Kirkharle Courtyard is 700yds on the right down the slope.
From Hexham:
(14 miles): Head north on B6342 following signs to Rothbury; pass through Wall, Chollerton and Colwell. Take slip road off to Kirkharle Courtyard. NB If you reach A696 crossroads, you have travelled too far.
From Morpeth:
(14 miles): Head west on B6542 via Whalton to Belsay; turn right onto A696 and head north to B6342 crossroads. Turn left to Hexham; Kirkharle Courtyard 700 yds on right down the slope.
From Rothbury:
(16 miles): Head south on the B6342, following signs to Hexham; through Cambo, past Wallington Hall (NT) to junction on A696. Cross over; Kirkharle Courtyard is 700 yds on right down the slope.
