John's finest project

As John has now been cutting silhouettes for 20 years, he's recently been pondering which direction he should take for the final 15 or so. One of the regrets he has is that with his work being time consuming, and with time having to be charged for, he hasn't been able to push himself to his limit and produce extremely detailed work that takes a long time to produce.

However, he's now decided that the time has arrived to do just this; produce a range of hand-cut pictures that will be the best he is capable of producing. Only ten pictures will be individually cut of each design. No.1 will be retained for his family and the remaining nine will be for sale. Each will be signed and numbered.

The first of these pictures has been designed. The drawing itself took nearly two days (see right), and cutting has begun. At the time of writing this, one side of the tree is finished (see below).

If you are visiting No.1 The Stone Barn and wish to see the picture at it's current stage, just ask John.
